I worked as a communications consultant and a copywriter for major network agencies and in companies in a career spanning 30 years. I focused on corporate, B2B and technology communications and on corporate and consumer communications for airlines.
I was a consultant with Fleishman-Hillard for 12 years, holding positions including Senior Vice President B2B Communications and Senior Vice President Technology Communications and adding value to major international clients. Other career stations included Burson-Marsteller and Grayling.
Before shifting to agency work, I spent six years as a copywriter on the in-house communications team at Software AG, a leading global software firm headquartered in Germany. Here I had the opportunity to immerse myself in and to write about subjects such as application development technology, database technology and client-server technology. I had previously acquired a grounding in software programming through a one-year training course at the Siemens School for Communications and Data Technology in Frankfurt am Main.
I obtained a master’s degree in history (focus: modern history) and political science (focus: international relations) from the Goethe University of Frankfurt.
